This book is an extensive revision and enlargement of 'Multipurpose Australian Trees and Shrubs: Lesser-known species for fuelwood and agroforestry', which ACIAR published in 1986. The decision to publish this new edition reflects the rapid advances in knowledge of many of the species and changes in taxonomy over the past decade. There have been new species added and entries from the previous monograph have had extensive revision and updating. Species with greatest potential receive as much as four pages of text, while minor or little-known species are confined to quarter page entries. In this edition some of the better known and more widely planted species are included
