Summary |
An in-depth look at the life Georges Remi (known by his pen name Herge), whose tales of reporter Tintin and his canine sidekick Snowy have stood the test of time, despite controversy over his early work. Remi is recognised as one of the greatest literary geniuses of the 20th century, but following World War Two, he was far from celebrated as an illustrator. He was accused of being a collaborator during the war but was interrogated and eventually let off. Remi continued to sketch Tintin until he died in 1983. By that time, his stories had been published in 50 languages. (From the UK) (Documentary Series) PG |
