Currently, nearly 8,000 Swiss live in New South Wales, the Australian state with the largest Swiss migrant community. Unlike other migrant groups, the Swiss community has remained inconspicuous, not only because of its modest size, but also because its members tend to assimilate easily and quickly; they can be aptly described as invisible immigrants
