Summary The purpose of this report is to present the findings of a survey and focus group of the Macedonian Diaspora in Australia designed to explore the extent and nature of diaspora linkages with the Macedonian homeland. Age and place of birth were the two levels of analysis adopted in this research, with the aim of identifying differences that may exist in terms of engagement and identification with the homeland according to these two variables. Given the diversity of the Macedonian Diaspora, and inherent difficulties in identifying a representative sample of a diaspora, the research findings cannot be generalised across all those who identify as being part of the Macedonian Diaspora. The results do, however, provide insights and trends in relation to diaspora connections with the homeland particularly as the findings appear to resonate with the broader literature on Macedonia and the Macedonian Diaspora. -- exec. summary, page 6
