Video journalist Aaron Lewis joins the roller-coaster ride in the US financial markets on Sunday's Dateline to find out what it all means. Why is the United States so in debt, and why can't Washington decide what to do about it? Is the country's credit rating downgrade just a distraction or a true measure of the situation? And who will end up paying the price in the end... the super-rich or the super-poor?NUCLEAR FAMILYWhile much of the media's attention has turned away from events in Japan, millions of people are still feeling the after-effects of March's devastating earthquake and tsunami. On Sunday, Japanese video journalist Toshi Maeda gives Dateline an insider's view of the daily challenges still facing residents, including his own wife and young daughter. Near the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant, he finds ghost towns, where those remaining struggle with little work, money or food. Close-knit families have been left divided by the disaster as members move elsewhere to try and make a living. Contamination concerns too are affecting agricultural businesses hundreds of kilometres away, and even daily food shopping in Tokyo has become an ordeal... all with a backdrop of discontent over a lack of government transparency and action. BATTLE OF BRITAINDon't be fooled by the sight of cute fluffy squirrels frolicking in the British countryside, there's a serious battle under way in the quiet picturesque villages. It's between the grey squirrels, introduced from North America in the 19th century, and the native red squirrels, who are being displaced by the greys and killed off by a virus they carry. On Sunday's Dateline, filmmaker Nicholas Berger visits the north east of England, where a 'red army' of locals is serious about ridding the region of the grey invaders and saving the reds from extinction. But is trapping them, killing them and then eating them a step too far in the war on squirrels?
