Au son d'une mélodie triste, dans l'atmosphère bleutée d'un club lisboète, Bonga se souvient de ses débuts. Sa voix s'élève, éraillée et chaleureuse, et exprime toute la "saudade" angolaise. Dans une autre vie, Bonga s'appelait Jose Adelino Barcelo de Carvalho. Il fut champion du Portugal du 400 mètres à une époque ou son pays, l'Angola, était encore une colonie.
