Summary |
People who live in the Rocky Mountains have come up with some outrageous competitions over the years. How about riding a bicycle to beat a train? That's the history behind the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, also known as the Durango to Silverton Bike Race. Next up is something you don't see everyday, how about racing your burro? Don't laugh; the competition is tough! The only thing that can top that kind of fun is a Frog Rodeo in Empire, which offers all kinds of fun for the family. Next, the Grand Lake Regatta and Lipton Cup Races, which dates back to 1905, offers sailboats and sailors from all over the world. Finally, we document a Kinetic Sculpture Challenge in Boulder, Colorado. Kinetics is a race across land, mud and water that feature Kinetic crafts, which are handmade human powered vehicles - and it's all done for charitable causes! |
