Summary This fast and fun documentary explores the intriguing world of competitive jump rope. Jump! follows five jump rope teams from around the United States who push themselves to their physical and psychological limits on their path to the World Rope Skipping Championships. The sport of jump rope is part extreme athletics and part art form as the kids create masterfully choreographed moves that burst with rhythm, sweat and originality. Throughout drilling and mind-boggling performances, these unexpected trailblazers reveal what makes them tick and what sets each of them apart.Key characters challenge themselves and experience personal triumph and transformation. Meet 12 year old Tori, a speed skipping specialist who experiences exercise-induced asthma attacks and 20 year old Lee, who is developing a jump-phabet with letters that represent each of the possible jump rope moves. These teenagers sacrifice everything to get where they are and are competing at the very top of their sport. There is injury, tears and tantrums and but in the end, determination, rivalry and collaboration converge with dramatic and unexpected results. This documentary shows that jump rope is much more than just a playground game. (From the US) (Documentary) CC
