Summary |
These papers had their origins in a series of theoretical lectures presented by Mark Solms (editor of the journal Neuro- Psychoanalysis, and member of the British Psychoanalytical Society, among other affiliations) and clinical presentations delivered by Karen Kaplan-Solms (a speech and language pathologist and neuropsychologist affiliated with the Institute of Psycho-Analysis, London). The theoretical material is offered in part one, with chapters on historical background, the work of Luria in dynamic neuropsychology, an example in the neurodynamics of dreaming, and methodology. Kaplan-Solms's psychoanalytic observations are presented in part two comprising close looks at cases of Broca's aphasia, Wernicke's aphasia, left parietal damage, right perisylvian damage, and ventromesial frontal damage.
